TCC's Story

Twin Cities Con is a pop culture, media, and comic book convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. TCC was created by Ben Penrod, founder of comic cons in over ten cities, including Awesome Con in Washington, DC. Ben has been producing fan events for over ten years, and knew that the Twin Cities area would be the perfect location for a new comic con. TCC is produced by Ben's company Nerd Street, which also organizes Central Florida Comic Con, Annapolis Comic-Con, Southern Maryland Comic-Con, Star Con Orlando, and co-promotes the Alaska ComiCon.

Twin Cities Con Press Release

Minneapolis, MN – The first-ever Twin Cities Con will be coming to the Minneapolis Convention Center in Downtown Minneapolis on October 2-3, 2021. The comic con will combine the best of comics, pop culture, and cosplay. Fans of all ages are invited to join the fun and meet celebrity guests Will Friedle (Boy Meets World, Batman Beyond, Kim Possible), Austin St. John (Power Rangers), Leah Clark (My Hero Academia), Jason Liebrecht (My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, One Piece), Dan Parent (Artist/Writer: Archie, Die Kitty Die), and more to be announced!

“We are so excited to bring this event to Minnesota,” said Ben Penrod, founder of Twin Cities Con. “This will be a perfect weekend outing for fans and families, and I suspect many hard-working cosplayers are already planning their costumes for October.”

For the uninitiated, a comic con is an event for fans of comics, toys, TV, film, art, gaming, and all other things considered ‘nerdy.’ It’s a great place to meet with actors, comic book creators, and other fans.

“I can’t wait to meet everyone at Twin Cities Con!” said celebrity guest Will Friedle.

Alongside the celebrities and artists, there will be vendors, discussion panels, and other related events taking place at the con. Twin Cities Con will also feature a costume contest each day to find the best cosplayers in the area. Tickets start at $15 with discounts for early registration.
